WHAT A NIGHT !!!
A fantastic time was had by all who attended the Raggies Ball on Saturday night (11/7/98). The night was full of great food, good music and fine wine. Adrian Hart (Farty) even got so carried away by the occasion he popped the question to girlfriend Faye. Faye said Yes and would you believe Farty then won the $5000 in the Cash Bonanza draw. Should be able to buy a pretty good ring with that much cash Farty.
The evening began when all 250 people arrived dead on 7pm for pre-dinner drinks in the foyer before heading into the magnificent Norwood Concert Hall for dinner. The hall looked fantastic done up in burgundy, pink and silver. Farenheit 451 began with some slow numbers and the dance floor was packed from go to whoa.
After dinner, the door prize of a $200 RM Williams voucher was drawn and won by Clay Whenan. Farenhit 451 then upped the tempo on the dance floor and it was packed again.
A raffle was run for a $300 Sony PlayStation, a $150 Doc Martens shoe voucher from Grundys Shoes (Randy Whittenbury) and some Adelaide Casino Cash.
Farenheit 451 continued the party music through to 1 in the morning.
Thanks needs to go to the Social Committee for organising such a great night and now all we can do is count the days down to next year's ball.
